I’m currently watching “History of the World in 2 Hours” on the History Channel. It’s currently at 2.2 billion years before humanity and the voice over was just talking about a group of “very clever bacteria that figured out how to harness the sun’s energy” and excrete the “most important waste product in all of history”: Oxygen.
It occurs to me, that much like the Buddhists say, life is shit. Without this miraculous bug shit, none of us would be here. We are bottom feeders, feasting off the waste of bacterium.
This cracks me the fuck up. And humans think they’re so great.
